Presenter’s name and small bio

Tim McCarthy has over 20 years experience using Microsemi (Actel) FPGAs. Prior to working at Microsemi McCarthy held design positions at several companies in Silicon Valley. McCarthy received a BEE from the University of Dayton in 1978 and a MSEE from the University of Michigan in 1980.

Workshop Abstract

This session demonstrates how to implement Cortex-M3-based designs in a SmartFusion cSoC device.  Hands-on exercises focus on configuring the microcontroller subsystem and analog block and adding peripherals in the FPGA fabric.  The exercises will include and running firmware applications on the SmartFusion Evaluation kit.

Libero SoC v10.1; HyperTerminal or similar terminal emulator program

Hardware required (computer, monitors, connectors, adapters, memory cards …)

PC with 2 USB ports, monitor, keyboard

Number of boards that will be available for the workshop?

I will bring 15 SmartFusion Evaluation kits
