“Build Your Own Custom ARM-based System”
Presenter’s name and small bio
Tim McCarthy has over 20 years experience using Microsemi (Actel) FPGAs. Prior to working at Microsemi McCarthy held design positions at several companies in Silicon Valley. McCarthy received a BEE from the University of Dayton in 1978 and a MSEE from the University of Michigan in 1980.
This session demonstrates how to implement Cortex-M3-based designs in a SmartFusion cSoC device. Hands-on exercises focus on configuring the microcontroller subsystem and analog block and adding peripherals in the FPGA fabric. The exercises will include and running firmware applications on the SmartFusion Evaluation kit.
